Kill them with scripture.
You may or may not have heard the phrase "kill them with kindness" before. If you haven't heard of this phrase before, it basically means to love your adversaries and to care for those who persecute you. While this strategy is great when it comes to dealing with the challenges of the physical world and is something that God endorses (Proverbs 25:21-22, Romans 12:20-21, etc.), I've thought of a phrase that is particularly useful when facing spiritual attacks: "kill them with scripture." Whenever you are dealing with any spiritual struggles with the enemy, speaking obscenities and lies into your ear, counter them by speaking the word of God out loud; it doesn't have to be verbatim, but it does have to be a truth that the Bible says about you. In the book of Matthew, chapter 4, Jesus used this method while He was being tempted by the devil in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. The enemy attempted to make Jesus worship him with false promises, but Jesus held firm. This is how we, as Christians, are expected to act in situations like these. We kill the enemy with scripture.
