Margaret Mazzantini once said that a writer must move through the world like a radar, catching fragments and turning them into characters and stories.
What moves me most is the next part: she says she has never lost the childlike impulse to tell stories.
That is where many real stories begin.
Not in technique first.
Not in strategy.
But in that early, almost sacred place where wonder, memory, and feeling are still alive.
"“Literature allows you to withdraw into yourself. You become like a radar, catching everything, then you step away from the world, shut yourself in a room, and give back what you have picked up. Writing is a marathon. An artist lives with their senses wide open, like a seismologist.” Margaret Mazzantini.
This is very close to what I feel as a person and author. Please feel free to share your emotions about it :)
