The Hard Truth No One Tells Job Seekers
I’m going to say this with care, not criticism.
Most of the time, it’s not that you’re unqualified. it's not that you’re not good enough. And it’s not always the job market.
It’s your resume.
I’ve reviewed hundreds of resumes, and the pattern is always the same:
– They list job duties instead of results
– They’re too generic
– They’re not tailored to a specific role
– They don’t show impact with numbers
– They don’t clearly say, “Here’s the value I bring.”
Recruiters spend just a few seconds scanning. If your value isn’t clear immediately, they move on.
Another honest truth?
If your resume looks like everyone else’s, you’ll blend in with everyone else.
Getting interviews isn’t just about having experience. it’s about communicating that experience the right way.
The good news? This is fixable.
Sometimes, you don’t need more skills. You just need better positioning.
If you’ve been applying and hearing nothing back, don’t get discouraged. Let’s fix the real problem.
