The Start Here module includes 8 videos. The welcome and introduction video explained the community very well. It covered how to introduce yourself, journaling, agenda setting, note-taking, community rules, and the leader board. The explanation was clear and helpful for new students.
After that, there were separate sessions covering the same topics again. Personally, I did not find this very effective. I felt it would be better if the content was organised more step by step from the beginning, instead of explaining everything in one video and then repeating it in separate videos.
I found the videos like step-by-step guides and “don’t make these mistakes while learning” more effective after the introduction video. These types of videos helped me understand what to do and what to avoid in a clear way.
The Step-by-Step Guide lecture was taught by a different person, and the content was helpful. However, the person did not introduce themselves, such as what they do or what their role is in the community. A short self-introduction at the start could help learners understand who is teaching and how they are connected to the community, which would make the session more engaging and relatable.
Overall, the module is useful, but a clearer step-by-step structure could make it even better.
