Setting Realistic Goals In Freelancing:

  • Test different packages like 1 min video edit $10 or 10 video $120
  • Do a reverse engineering of your income, like- How many hours do you work in a day?- Then how much is your per-hour cost?
  • Then, write your goal:- How much do you want to earn monthly?- How much would your per hour cost?
  • Along with Upwork, also send an Instagram or linkedin dm.
  • The goal should be to close clients working on a monthly basis with us.
What you have to do:
  • Learn skill which get paid to your client, and the client can pay you. Like instead of learning Adobe Premiere Pro, davinci etc. Just learn basic video editing and color grading so you can edit short form content for client and get paid from client side.
  • Along with working on skills, start sending 20 DMs daily on instagram and linkedin.
Action Plan:
  • Send Dm’s daily on Instagram or LinkedIn.
  • Post 1 to 3 Valuable instagram or linkedin post weekly.
  • Most of the client will pay you the 3rd part of the amount you help the client to make.
  • Week 1: Optimize Upwork profile.
  • Week 2: Start sending 50 dms on instagram or on linkedin daily.
  • Week 3: Get the first few clients >> Use testimonials to land bigger deals. 
  • Make the upwork profile, make it client focused. Go for niche wise and use your service related keywords.
  • Make the portfolio even in google docs or in google sheets.
  • I can easily do $1000 a month in start.
