I just had to share this with fellow saxophone players. A few months ago, I was trying to find a new neck for my tenor saxophone. I ordered a couple, but none of them fit correctly. Eventually, I reached out to a saxophone manufacturer overseas, provided measurements, and had a custom neck made. During our conversations, I asked if they built custom saxophones. They said yes. Naturally, my next question was, βHow custom?β Their answer was basically, βWhatever you can dream up.β Green has always been my favorite color. Most of my instruments and accessories have some shade of green involved, so I asked them if they could build me a green curved soprano saxophone with silver keywork and white mother of pearl keys. Their response: βNo problem.β After working out the details and agreeing on a price, I placed the order. Nearly two months later, it arrived today. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. Itβs like they took the picture I had in my head and turned it into a real instrument. The craftsmanship is excellent, the finish came out exactly how I envisioned it, and best of all, it plays beautifully. Iβm still in the honeymoon phase, but so far Iβm absolutely thrilled with it. Iβll post some photos and playing videos soon.
