She played Nazaré Tedesco, one of the most iconic TV villains in Brazil, in the 2004 soap opera Senhora do Destino. In the story, Nazaré kidnaps a baby girl and raises her as her own, while pretending to be innocent. She became famous for being manipulative, dramatic, and unforgettable. Years later, screenshots of her confused facial expressions were edited with floating math equations, and the meme spread across the internet. It’s kind of crazy to think about how memes travel across the world. Something as random as a scene from a Brazilian soap opera ended up becoming one of the most recognizable reaction memes on the internet.
