Hey everyone, I'm Matt. I'm currently an Industrial Designer at Corning Inc. (optical communitaction) and live in Charlotte area in North Carolina. I was previously at Lowe's, Bissell, and Hasbro and have a Bachelors of Science in Transportation Design from University of Cincinnati. I drew lots of cars in college but frankly I was not as focused on fundamentals as I should have been so here I am 15 years later trying to pick them up again. I'm motivated to improve my skills so I can pass them along to my 2 kids and maybe achieve my dream of working in the automotive space. My favorite car is the McLaren F1 some others are the Oilstainlab Half-11, Polestar 1, Koenigsegg CC850, Infiniti prototype 10 and BAC Mono. My name is Francisco Garcia, and I’m currently based in North Carolina, USA. I studied Industrial Design in Argentina and I’m working professional with experience in industrial, automotive, aerospace, and military product design. I currently work at Caterpillar while continuing to develop my skills in vehicle design, sketching, and digital visualization. Car design has been my passion for many years. I earned a degree in Automotive Design and was awarded a Pininfarina scholarship in vehicle aesthetics. Throughout my career I’ve worked on product development, engineering, and advanced design projects, but automotive design remains the field that inspires me the most. I enjoy combining creativity, engineering constraints, and visual storytelling to create compelling vehicles. My main goal over the next 8 weeks is to improve the quality, speed, and confidence of my vehicle sketches. I want to strengthen my understanding of proportions, perspective, and form language while building a consistent sketching routine and developing a stronger automotive design portfolio. I hope to make strong contacts in the industry and friends during this course. Thank you for your time
