If you haven’t seen the news, Universal Music Group (UMG) has filed a lawsuit against DistroKid, alleging deceptive trade practices and copyright infringement. UMG alleges that DistroKid has allowed DSPs to be flooded with mass-uploaded AI-generated music and allegedly unauthorized content, including remixes, speed-altered recordings, and tracks containing unlicensed samples. 💡 Important: These are allegations in a pending lawsuit, not findings proven in court.
