As Salaamu 'Alaykum & a very special Eid Greeting to all: I pry all are well & had a joyus Eid Day & will find other happy, exciting things to do with family, or Muslim Community Friends. I want to quest you all to weigh in on this question. I'd like you all to let me know what you would like to see happen here daily to help keep our community live & active. I'd like to know how many here who are presently unable to read Quran in Arabic at this present moment? I'd like to know who can read a little & would like to improve their ability to read with fluidity? I'd like to know who does not yet know their full prayer in Arabic. This is not a test this is to help establish the connections with you to help you move from where you are to where you ought to be. All you should know that I am The New Muslim Specialist, having been Teaching, Mentoring, Counseling New Muslims for 50 years with this as my primary focus all over US, with a little in Canada. Since the 2000's with Muslims from various parts of the world. One of the things I'd like to activate is a nightly Quranic Halaqah, reading of Quran in both Arabic & English. We would read 1 or more suras that hadith recommend reading nightly. Those who can read Arabic well/those trying to improve would take turn reading 3-5 verses & then those who presently can not would take turns reading the same in English. Also I'd intend to start posting some other things that new Reverts should know, learn, relect upon daily & would like to also have some sessions for Q&A. No I'm not a scholar, I am a former Imam & a teacher recognized by many Imams & Scholars as a qualified teacher of Reverts. By Allah's Grace & Mercy on me I have personal connections with many Scholars of all four Islamic Scholars of Thought some who are now well-known & many who are not who I go to for questions out of my space. Since I'm also writing some books & courses for new Muslims & beyond those of you are a part of my community here @ Livinghalal will have opportunities to get affiliate links to also sell those things so you can also make a commission on those books & things as well. As we grow in life, it’s important we stay mindful of how we use what Allah has entrusted to us. Whether it’s wealth, marriage, or travel, everything should be approached with sincerity, care, and good intentions. The example of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) reminds us to treat others with kindness, fairness, and respect in all situations. Let’s continue to encourage one another gently, move with good character, and always seek what is pleasing to Allah. May Allah guide us all and bless our journeys, Ameen 🌿

The 3 Faces of Modern Salafism? I would like to know your thoughts on this I have a lot ?

As Salaamu 'Alaikum All: Eid Al Adhah is just around the corner. The Month of Shawwal is over & the next Eid is only about 40 days or so away (give or take). For those new Muslims that just had their first Ramadaawn you may not know or aware of some of the things you should do to prepare if you're not a mong the fortunate ones going on Hajj. First for the Bros. you should be preparing to do your best to be in a position to slaughter, sheep/goat or something along those lines. So start checking into the places where you can do that in your area where you live. You want to check the prices too, because they will be steadily on the rise after Ramadaawn no matter if the sellers are Muslim or local Non-Muslims. The non-Muslims in your area already know this is a time that many Muslims come looking to buy. If you can buy one ahead of time & pay a little for feed between now & then you may $ave a little. Not only is slaughtering a Sunnah act you should try to fulfil, but the rewards are great. One of the narrations state you get forgiveness equal to every single hair on that beast you slaughter. Don't just be like some men (especially those from other countries) who just pay or send money for someone eles to do for you. There are so many benefits in doing it yourself. If you can afford to send some monies overseas to one of the countries that are in need as well as do it here this is the best. However doing it yourself should take priority. If you have a son between 10 & above you should take him along. Even if you, yourself are not going to slaughter you should go with other brothers to watch & help. Also if you have a son over 10 take him as well. If you won't be able to afford slaughtering by yourself there are other options for you as you can share together the cost however that's only 7 people can collectively do a cow or a camel if you live in places where that's availabe. Whether you, yourself plans on slaughtering or not, I highly recommend going & being a part of this blessed Sunnah & take your boys as well.
