السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُنَّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ A reminder for myself first, then for my beloved sisters. The jinn are a real creation of Allah, and believing in them is part of our īmān because Allah mentions them in the Qur’an. Among them are Muslims and disbelievers, just as there are among mankind. However, as believers, we should not live in fear of the jinn. Our trust is in Allah alone. The strongest protection is sincere tawḥīd, obedience to Allah, and following the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ. Allah says: “Indeed, he has no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.” (Qur’an 16:99) Allah also tells us: “And if there comes to you from Shayṭān an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (Qur’an 7:200) The Prophet ﷺ taught us to protect ourselves by: • Reciting Āyat al-Kursī before sleeping. • Reciting Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ, Sūrah Al-Falaq, and Sūrah An-Nās every morning, every evening, and before sleeping. • Saying Bismillāh before entering our homes, eating, drinking, and entering the restroom. • Keeping our five daily prayers and remembering Allah often. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever recites Āyat al-Kursī at night, there will remain over him a guardian from Allah, and no devil will approach him until morning.” (Authentically reported in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī) May Allah protect us, our children, and our homes from Shayṭān and every evil jinn. May He strengthen our tawḥīd, increase us in beneficial knowledge, and keep our hearts attached to the Qur’an and the Sunnah. اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا وَاحْفَظْ أَهْلَنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ. آمِين.

Join the Foundational Team of the International New Muslim Institute (INMI)
As-salaamu 'alaykum wa ra#hmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. For nearly 50 years, by Allah's Grace, I have had the honor of helping new Muslims learn their prayer, read the Qur'an, navigate family challenges, understand Islam, and remain connected to the Muslim community. Today, I believe Allah has opened the door to something much bigger. My goal is to establish the International New Muslim Institute (INMI)—an organization dedicated to helping new Muslims not just take shahadah, but successfully build a lifetime of faith. This is a long-term vision, and I know I cannot build it alone. I'm looking for brothers and sisters who would like to become part of the Foundational Team helping to establish INMI. You do not have to be an expert. I'm especially looking for: • Reverts (new or experienced) who have a heart for helping other reverts. • Muslim brothers and sisters who grew up in Islam and want to support new Muslims. • College students and young professionals looking to use their talents for something meaningful. Areas where volunteers may be able to help include: - Social media - Video recording and editing - Graphic design - Writing and proofreading - Teaching assistance - Research - Technology and websites - Administration - Outreach - Building programs for new Muslims around the world Whether you can give a few hours a week or simply want to learn while serving, I would love to hear from you. My hope is that, years from now, people will look back and say: "By Allah's Grace, I helped build something that made life easier for thousands of new Muslims." If this speaks to your heart, please send me a private message and tell me a little about yourself, your skills, and how you would like to help. May Allah accept it from all of us and make it a source of ongoing reward (sadaqah jaariyah). Ameen.

Wa ’alaykum as-salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. JazakAllahu khayran for sharing this beautiful vision. As a revert, this really speaks to my heart. I know how important it is for new Muslims to have support, authentic knowledge, and a welcoming community. I would be honored to be considered as part of the foundational team. While I am still continuing to learn, I have a passion for helping new Muslims feel supported and connected. I would be happy to assist wherever I can, whether that’s outreach, encouraging reverts, administration, social media, or other areas of need. May Allah bless this effort, grant it sincerity, and make it a source of guidance and benefit for Muslims around the world. Ameen. This expresses your interest while being humble about your own learning. It also highlights your desire to serve without overstating your experience.
Eid Greetings & Beyond
As Salaamu 'Alaykum & a very special Eid Greeting to all: I pry all are well & had a joyus Eid Day & will find other happy, exciting things to do with family, or Muslim Community Friends. I want to quest you all to weigh in on this question. I'd like you all to let me know what you would like to see happen here daily to help keep our community live & active. I'd like to know how many here who are presently unable to read Quran in Arabic at this present moment? I'd like to know who can read a little & would like to improve their ability to read with fluidity? I'd like to know who does not yet know their full prayer in Arabic. This is not a test this is to help establish the connections with you to help you move from where you are to where you ought to be. All you should know that I am The New Muslim Specialist, having been Teaching, Mentoring, Counseling New Muslims for 50 years with this as my primary focus all over US, with a little in Canada. Since the 2000's with Muslims from various parts of the world. One of the things I'd like to activate is a nightly Quranic Halaqah, reading of Quran in both Arabic & English. We would read 1 or more suras that hadith recommend reading nightly. Those who can read Arabic well/those trying to improve would take turn reading 3-5 verses & then those who presently can not would take turns reading the same in English. Also I'd intend to start posting some other things that new Reverts should know, learn, relect upon daily & would like to also have some sessions for Q&A. No I'm not a scholar, I am a former Imam & a teacher recognized by many Imams & Scholars as a qualified teacher of Reverts. By Allah's Grace & Mercy on me I have personal connections with many Scholars of all four Islamic Scholars of Thought some who are now well-known & many who are not who I go to for questions out of my space. Since I'm also writing some books & courses for new Muslims & beyond those of you are a part of my community here @ Livinghalal will have opportunities to get affiliate links to also sell those things so you can also make a commission on those books & things as well. When you join here if you also share your link with someone to join here that person is also connected to you, so if they start a skool group or some other things you also get a commission without taking anything from them, so inviting other reverts to this group is to your advantage, both in this life & the next.

Wa ’Alaykum As-Salaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. Eid Mubarak, Imam Samir. Thank you for your efforts in supporting reverts and helping build this community. I am interested in participating in the Qur’an halaqah and other learning opportunities, Insha’Allah. May I ask when you plan to start these sessions? I have noticed that the community has not been very active lately, and there have been only a few posts from the creator to keep members engaged. I think regular posts, reminders, lessons, and discussions would help encourage more participation and make the group more lively and beneficial for everyone. And a admin that engages with the community May Allah bless your efforts and grant success to this community. JazakAllahu Khayran.

Bismillah. Growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like praying when no one sees. Choosing peace over chaos. Walking away from what no longer aligns. Learning, healing, and trusting Allah through every season. Your journey is not behind anyone else’s—what is written for you will never miss you. Keep your heart clean, your intentions sincere, and your eyes on Allah. 🤍 #Islam #Growth #Healing #Sabr #Tawakkul #Muslimah
