Let's give a warm welcome to @Marci Horvath. Marci is looking to level up her skills in Time Management, so let's see what we've got to help out there! What are some of your best Time Management tips? Me? I set alarms for everything so that I'm not late. Got a meeting? Set an alarm for 5 or 10 minutes before, depending upon if I need to prepare. Got an appointment? Add it to the calendar so that a reminder pops up when you need it. Need to reinforce routine? Set alarms for the things you're trying to set a habit for. Do you hyperfocus? Set an alarm to set boundaries for your work time and effort. For many of my alarms, I set them to go off on my Apple Watch so that I get the haptic interruption on my wrist. That gets my attention. Add your tips in the comments!

Happy Father’s / Moving Day!
Happy Father’s Day to all who have earned the title: Father, Dad, Papa, Pop, Da, or whatever name you’re given. That includes Steps and anyone serving as a father figure. Let’s celebrate our Grandparents and the Greats as well! You are loved and appreciated, and this is your day. We’re celebrating ours with the movers who are packing up our house. We’ve sent our dog, Ziggy, to spend the day with his favorite sitter so that he can be safe and calm. Me? I’m taking a short break to say hello and wish you all happy - while snuggling with my super soft, fluffy pillow. Show me yours - do you have a comfort stuffie, plushie, pillow, doll, or even live animal that helps keep you calm and centered? Here’s mine. I love the heart shape because the v fits right into the crook of my arm and makes it comfortable to hug.

Welcome! Start here to begin earning XP.
Greetings, Traveler! You’ve officially entered Level Up Life Skills, with your Wayfinder, PrplJennifer. If you're new here, this post is your starting point. A quick orientation in 4 parts. This is a judgment-free community for adults learning the practical life skills many of us were expected to know, but were never really taught: money, career, self-care, home, and AI as a life skill. You do not need to have it all figured out before you begin. That is literally what the journey is for. 📜 YOUR FIRST QUEST: DOWNLOAD THE SKOOL APP The best way to get the most out of this community is to remain engaged. That's hard to do if the community goes "out of sight, out of mind." So download the app to your phone and put it on your home screen so that you'll get notifications whenever something important drops. Note - Click on the Settings button at the right and use the Notification tabs to set your preferences - I get it; too many notifications can be overwhelming. 📜 YOUR SECOND QUEST: Level 1 Initiation To start earning XP and move from Level 1 Fledgling to Level 2 Skill-Seeker, complete these three quick steps: 1️⃣ Introduce yourself below. Tell us: - Name/Class: Who are you and where are you joining from? 🌎 - Current Mission: What is one "Real World" skill you'd like learn or improve? 🎯 - Current Boss Battle: What’s adulting "monster" stressing you out right now? 🐉 2️⃣ Check the Map. Head over to the Classroom tab and wander around. Pick one quest or resource that catches your eye. Start small and go from there. No need to do everything at once.🗺️ 3️⃣ Support another Traveler. Like or reply to at least 2 introductions. That's how the Fellowship gets stronger, and yes, it helps you earn XP too. 🤝 📈 How XP Works Every like you receive on a post or comment earns XP. As you participate, your title will grow from Fledgling toward higher ranks, and you’ll unlock free resources and side quests along the way. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Membership Paths Standard members get community access, free previews, downloads, select Quests, and scheduled community events.
It's going to be quiet for a bit
This community is really important to me, so I want to let you all know what's going on in my life. I'm in the middle of getting ready to sell my house and leave for a long trip to visit family before coming back to California and settling in for a bit somewhere in the RV before running off to Scotland for a month. I'll pick things back up once we start traveling in the U.S., and things might slow down again when I'm in Scotland (unless you all want to see pictures and hear stories!). I hope you'll all stick with me and engage with each other - this isn't about me - it's about the expertise we all have in one thing or another and how we can help each other learn and grow. Thank you for your patience!
