LIVESTREAM: Hangout + Q&A 🚀 is happening in 7 days
Nice to meet you all and... quick question! :D
Hello guys, I'm Daniel, The Italian Coach! :D I posted my introduction in the proper section, so I'll go straight to the point! :) As I said in that post, everyone has different ways to see the "System Thinking". Of course the "Plan -> Execute -> Track -> Review -> Reset" and the "Life Vision -> Daily Vision" is pretty much similar in the different approaches, but what about other stuff? For you guys, approaching this system, did you find it easy even coming from other approaches? :D I read some posts saying that could be difficult the transition from level 1 to level 2, so @Peter Shev , would it be a good idea to start from the level 2 straight away or do you suggest to do step by step? I mean... I know that you did in a "organised manner", but that includes of course the "business cycle" that will lead towards the purchase of the level 2 (so free course -> paid course). Now, considering that I already decided to buy even the level 3 (ahah), I will re-ask the question: it would be a good idea to start from the level 2 straight away or do you suggest to do step by step? 🤣 I hope now is way clearer my question ahah! That said... I fell in love with the system when I saw you tracking >100 metrics. At that point I thought "ah, so it's not only me in the word to be that granular! 🤣". So, @Peter Shev very very very nice to meet you and congratulations for the work done!!! 👏
Project success
Today is one of my quarterly planning days and as I'm working on downloading and defining projects, I'm starting to feel like I may want to add another property to my projects table for "What does success look like?" Yes, there's 'definition of done', but for me, that's more of a 'when do I feel like I can check this off my list?' On the other hand, 'What does success look like?' gives me a better idea of what sorts of things I should be working on. For example, I am teaching two certification class series and a conference session in the next 4 months. - Definition of done: "I have put together my presentation, prepared, and presented to x group." - What does success look like?: "I've carefully prepared my slides to be engaging without distracting and practiced so that I'm not just reading what's on the slides, but instead giving the "so what" and "what now" behind the information. Feedback from those in attendance is that they were engaged, learned new things that feel applicable to them, and they are excited to go back to their office and put what they've learned into practice. Association/conference coordinators approach me about teaching for them again." Someone is probably thinking "Why not just put the success version in the done property?" This may just be my brain, but if I don't achieve a portion of that, then now I'm back feeling like I have some sort of open loop that I can't close. Done is practical, Success is aspirational. Thoughts from anyone else?
Level 2
Who is on Level 2? How is it going?🤔 Hello? anybody...........🫠 I'm melting...........
Mastery Targets
What are the 3 'Mastery Targets' you track for the domains, that actually moved the needle for you this month? Here are mine: 1. Tidy up one room in the house each day 2. 20 minutes of release meditation 3. Movement/Workout/walks
Projects and Goals
I just finished watching the section on projects, and it really makes a lot of sense - especially given the hangups I usually have around long-term goals (and not usually planning that far out given how quickly things seem to shift for me.) The one question I have as result: are you essentially using top level projects instead of goals? Based on the diagram of the FMS universe, it looks like you just call "Effort" what most people would call both "Goals" or "Projects".
