It takes 3 books and 20 hours of practice to become skilled in a field. It takes 10 books and 100 hours to be a proficient . It takes 100 books and 1000 hours of practice to become an expert. It takes 1000 books and 10,000 hours to become a master. A book represents acquiring knowledge and information. Each book is about 5 hours worth of information gathering. this can translate to any way of acquiring information like SKOOL, events, podcasts, audiobooks, YouTube videos (as long as it is new and useful information) experience come from practice, building, workshops, applying knowledge to projects, solving problems, getting feedback. you either choose the path of mastery, or the path of expert with proficiency in as many departments as possible. you can either be an expert in: marketing and sales finance and operations or technology and product development while still being skilled enough in solving every problem that arises - or finding someone who does. or you become an employee where you only focus on mastering one skill and being the best in the work at it. entrepreneurs will tend to become an expert at something, and skilled in everything else.
