One of the biggest lessons I've learned about self-publishing is that finishing the book is only the beginning. Writing, editing, designing a great cover, choosing the right keywords, marketing, and connecting with readers all play a role in a book's success.
I've also learned that progress doesn't have to be perfect. Every book teaches something new, whether it's about formatting, advertising, building an author platform, or understanding what readers are looking for.
For those who have been on this journey for a while, what's the most valuable self-publishing lesson you've learned that you wish you'd known before publishing your first book? I'd love to hear your experiences and tips.
