Found an interesting set of tools.
Saw these on Amazon. Thought I would give them a try.
They are a locking straight pin. They go through a hole in a stitch line and help to keep the holes lined up while stitching. I bought two packs of ten. They should help to keep a longer curved stitch line from getting away from me.
