LeadHERship Tip!
Make decisions, but explain the “why.”
A lot of leaders think their job is just to decide and move on. That creates confusion and quiet resistance. When people don’t understand why something is happening, they either disengage or second-guess you.
When you take 30–60 seconds to explain your reasoning:
  • People align faster
  • They trust you more
  • They make better decisions on their own next time
It also forces you to think more clearly; if you can’t explain it simply, the decision might not be solid yet.
Take the time to think it through and break it down so others can follow.
