What’s in a name?
For much of recorded history cultures around the world had naming ceremonies for their young people. These ceremonies or rites of passage gave the young man or young woman an identity within the community. It is still done in many cultures today, including with in the military pilot community. Did you have a community to name you? If not, how could you receive a name?
