Vacant Blocks = Margin Opportunity 👀🔥
Most operators avoid vacant blocks. Too thick. Too messy. Too hard. Good. That’s exactly why they pay well. There’s less competition because most blokes don’t have the gear, systems, or confidence to handle them properly. When you approach these jobs the right way, they’re not chaos — they’re opportunity. If you’ve got: ✔ A solid mower ✔ A proper brush cutter (set up right) ✔ Blades when needed ✔ Proper PPE ✔ A clear plan before you start Vacant blocks can become some of the highest-margin jobs in your mowing business. Real estates need them. Owners get council notices New builds need site preps. This isn’t just grass cutting. You’re solving a compliance issues. You're reducing fire risk. You're preventing fines. That’s value. 💰 Pro mindset shift: Don’t price these like a lawn. Price them like a problem being solved. Let’s talk: Who here has done a vacant block? • What did you charge? • What gear did you run? • What would you do differently next time? Drop it below 👇 Let’s raise the standard and build operators who aren’t scared of thick stuff. — Jared 🍃
⚡ Safety + Ingenuity = Productivity Wins
Yesterday’s job turned into a bit of an innovation session. Instead of risking slips and injuries pushing heavy wheelbarrows down a steep slope, we first rigged up the mower with a trailer to run soil loads safely down the hill. But then… we levelled up. A simple tarp gave us extra friction, letting us slide double the load in one trip, faster, safer, and way less strain on the body. It was a perfect reminder that smart problem-solving on site isn’t just about getting the job done, it’s about protecting the crew and finding the most efficient method possible. We wrapped up early when hail and lightning rolled in (sometimes safety means knowing when to stop too), but the productivity boost earlier in the day made it all worth it. 💡 Work smarter, stay safer, finish stronger.

🌄 Early Starts, Quiet Hustle ☕💻
There’s something about those early hours, before the phone rings, before the chaos kicks in, when it’s just you, your thoughts, and maybe a strong coffee and a laptop at the kitchen table. This was me this morning: dark outside, coffee at the ready, reconciling, paying invoices, and setting up the day ahead. No noise, no distractions, just clarity and grind. 🔥 I’ve learned that how you start your morning massively impacts how you run your day, and whether your business is geared for smooth operations, or set up for drama. 🧠 Let’s Talk Morning Rituals: What gets you in the zone? How do you start your day for success, mentally, physically, or with your tools? Do you: - Smash a gym session? - Hit the job list with a Red Bull and backpack blower? - Journal, meditate, or just scroll Skool with brekky? - Or roll out of bed straight into the ute? 👇 Drop your morning ritual or routine below, whether it’s structured or asking fo chaos, share what works (or doesn’t). Let’s inspire each other to own the morning and boss the days head in. 💪🌱 #LawnBoss #MorningRituals #EarlyStarts #QuietGrind
