Hi, all! My 6 year old son has been having issues at school. Little background- he was adopted with he was 4. He was exposed to drugs/alcohol/etc during pregnancy and was raised by his 14 year old brother until he was 3. I know that he has trauma and developmental delays with adhd. He has recently starting kicking chairs in school, hitting himself, and poking himself with the sharp side of the pencil. He also has been showing signs of defiance, but not angrily. Does anyone have an experience with this? We have an appointment with his pediatrician on Tuesday, but it is so hard to NOT take this personally. I hate to see him struggle and just want to help him.
