I've been unable to get down the mountain since Saturdays snow and ice storm hit so made this baby blanket for my sister in law to have when grandbabies come over. Used a mixture of red heart regular yarn and premier just chenille from dollar tree that I had available. Just one big granny square! Show me y'all's winter storm projects!

This is a long shot. I have so many hobbies and projects it's just overwhelming sometimes but I thought maybe our homesteading journey could help others. We moved to Kentucky back in May of last year after our home and a third of our little town in Oklahoma got hit by 2 tornados in 36 days. I was very much into making herbal remedies from Cannabis that I grew. Pain relief lotion, tincture and edible. I also love to make Wine. I love to cook. So many things I enjoy doing . We bought 90 acres in July but we aren't living up there yet. We have the start of a driveway and a small cleared spot where we plan to build a cabin. Yes we are gonna build it ourselves. But times are tough and so it's a slow process without having the funds. We currently live in an RV paying lot rent. So my idea here is to just let y'all be involved. Every post could be something different from making a tincture to building a water catchment on our property to slow cooking a rack of rib. Maybe you could share some advice as we go along or learn something you didn't know. I've included a few pictures of the property this far.
