Magick has never been easy for me. It has saved my life and taught me many things but it's not easy. It never gave me a special power to let me bypass reality. It never made me skinny, or beautiful, or even happy. But it's fun. It's a practice. Like Yoga or martial arts. I love the way it looks and feels. I love to play with my reality and my beliefs like an art project. But magical practice has never fixed me. It gave me the courage to look at myself as I am and to love her. It got me through unimaginably hard times. I wish I could say that I found a way to completely heal yourself. To ensure the good are rewarded and the evil are punished. In my experience magick is a tool for survival. Our most ancient ancestors did magick to help them survive. We see that in cave paintings and fetish dolls from prehistoric times. That said, I invite you all to ask: What do you want? It's a deceptively easy question. But persist in asking it and you will come face to face with the essence of yourself. There's a practice called Deity Yoga. I'm gonna introduce it in a course soon. Generally I work with Bodhisattvas rather than gods. A Bodhisattva remains in the universe to serve the liberation of all beings. Gods are slightly lower on the ladder and they will often ask for things in return for their help. Bodhisattvas ask for nothing. This distinction is important for those who want to practice Deity Yoga.
