The recording of last night's live is now on Youtube. Top Tips: I would suggest that you mask out the boat and houses and give it time to dry before starting. Give yourself more space for the trees on the left Give yourself a larger colour selection than originally suggested e,g, ultramarine , burnt umber to get the very dark tree areas. Swap the yellow ochre for a cadmium yellow. Yellow ochre doesn't blend well. Add a turquoise if you have one, Mix your tree colours for the background a little softer, e.g. make them more blue/grey so they look further away. Do share what you create, I love seeing them

I am considering doing this week's paint along in gouache. We are due to the Rocky River scene. As there are only a few of you who might tune in to the live which I really appreciate. I wanted to see if you have gouache yourselves. I really love it as a medium because it gives me the dark to light ability that I have with oils and acrylics but can be layered so it looks like oils....and its watercolour too! What are your thoughts? The bluebell wood is one I might do April time.
