10,000 Step theory
So I was listening to a podcast that had Dr. Rhonda Patrick as the guest. Apparently the 10,000 step idea was born in the 60s from a Japanese company selling pedometers. Dr. Patrick says getting in 10 minutes of breathless exercise (meaning getting your heart rate up to the point where talking is difficult), is just as effective as the step goal. I’m now focusing on that while still getting some steps in, but I’m no longer stressing on hitting 10,000. Dr. Patrick was on the latest episode of the Mel Robbin’s podcast for anyone interested.
