I built dough today
Tuesday is typically my builder day. I prep my starter late Monday so it’s ready to go early. This morning I woke up at 8 but my starter needed more time. And honestly, I got working dough at 11, but probably should have given it more time to get happier. This week my mom asked for two loaves, one croissant sandwich loaf and one simple boule. My sister asked for a simple sandwich loaf and I prepped an Anadama loaf to see how it is when made into a boule. So far I’ve only ever baked it in a pullman pan. I then took my discard and made some crackers. What are you working on?

Welcome to the Bread Shed
Hi, I’m Jenn and I’m a novice sourdough baker, still learning, but looking to build a community of other bakers of all levels to chat about bread. I live in a little town in New Hampshire with my son and our dog, Piper. I work as a server in a little mom and pop restaurant and also a realtor. This little hobby for me started in the summer of 2025 on a whim. After fighting to get my starter going for way too long I began navigating those first few learning loaves. I’ve managed to reliably produce simple recipe loaves and have expanded into some other starter based recipes that I’m still practicing. Looking forward to gathering together to help each other grow and love baking bread.
