This tune was taught to us by a few weeks ago as an exercise in alternate picking. made a video that inspired me to try to learn it. This is a Brazilian piece in by H. Pascoal with elements of a samba-like rhythm - called baião’ - that has this cool groove — with a syncopated forward momentum and the way accents seem to “roll” through the bar instead of landing squarely like a straight samba. Anyway, there's a great recording by Fabiano do Nascimento - he plays it much much faster - that has some interesting elements that I borrowed and tried to incorporate. I have a looper (and you can tell that I dont really know how to use it) and so experimented with some stuff. So this is a first attempt - and I would love to have this in the repertoire to play with a looper someday. Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
