Lesson 2- etude 2.3
https://youtu.be/tvzkBzZvJdM Hello all, here is chord progression #2: II-V-I-VI (in C major) slowed down to 80% speed. In posture news, I tried turning the guitar support pillow on its side to make it taller & so far this feels pretty good. I can keep both feet on the floor instead of having a crossed leg. Mine is the smaller 4 inch, so I've ordered the larger 5.5 inch support to try. I want to say that I really do appreciate those of you who have shown concern and offered advice on my wrist/posture situation.

@Nancy R Nice Nancy! Timing is very good and the chords are generally clean. Concur with others... perhaps time to push the tempo some! I would be interested to see/hear how it would work for you to try another approach to how you strum, if you are so willing to entertain it. I notice you are strumming with all downstrokes. Can you try sticking fast to down on the downbeats and up on the upbeats (i.e., the 'ands')? If so, I think this could pay off for you over time. See quick demo below, if it helps. I realize it's already work enough to play the chords right without another thing to think about. Perhaps this is a longer term item to practice. Very glad to hear you found a more comfortable approach (or less uncomfortable, as the case may be). :) https://youtu.be/Ex4_cOkBth0

@James Keillor Cool man. Off to a great start!
Round Midnight CM B (WIP)
Broke my weekly posting streak...hope this to be the start of another. I have been continuing to work on the chord melody for Round Midnight. In addition to addressing feedback on parts A/A', I've also been getting part B under my fingers. Still some rough spots, but overall I am not unhappy with where this is at. Still need a lot more reps as quality of each still varies pretty widely and then there is the matter of putting all the parts together... As always, feedback is greatly appreciated!

@Rick Harding Nice Rick! This continues to develop nicely. It looks pretty challenging to play a chord melody with only a pick. I cast no stones re: weekly posting. You are doing better than I shamefully am.

Etude 2.2-practice
https://youtu.be/sxDEFJ2zZ8I Hello all, here is a "sign of life" video from me--I'm still back here... practicing away on the Lesson 2 etudes...this is chord progression #1: I-VI-II-V. It's slowed down to some percentage- somewhere between 70-90%. Keepin' it real with no perfection here. :)

@Nancy R very nice Nancy. Your progress is manifest. It seems picking comfort is so unique to the player. Sorry to hear about your challenges. I haven't seen you picking yet, but once I do, I'll be looking to see if you employ alternate picking. That's down the road though. Keep up the excellent work!

Environmental enginerd by day. Picker by night. Hoping to start sounding like I've been playing for, um, as long as I've been playing.
