🗑️ Where Are All the Bins?
If you visit Japan, you might notice something strange…
👉 There are very few public rubbish bins.
But at the same time, the streets are incredibly clean.
🧠 Why?
One reason dates back to the 1995 Tokyo subway attack, after which many public bins were removed for safety.
But the bigger reason is culture.
In Japan, people are expected to:
take their rubbish home
sort it carefully
respect shared spaces
Cleanliness is seen as a personal responsibility, not something for others to deal with.
