Hiragana Challenge Day 11 ⛩️🎌
"Always do your best. What you plant now you will harvest later." — Og Mandino Follow the link, watch the video and learn along. Complete the work sheet. Write your hiragana on some paper. Writing helps you distinguish the characters and get them into your long term memory. Post your work. Show off your skills, receive feedback and get motivation from us sharing together. https://www.skool.com/japanese/classroom/78718867?md=34a5d8c4129545e1bd50ca5ac197fe9a Please try your best (ganbatte kudasai)!!! Joe Sensei. @Leonardo Adoccimo @Ricardo Solomons @Kev Hear @Julia Stanley @Harry Lewis @Serdar San @Lydia Cox @Cecilia Parks @Barry Prescott P.S. Bonus Challenge. Try and recognise the hiragana in this drawing. It is often hard to recognise characters when they are written stylistically, like how cursive can be hard for us to read.

✏️ Goal: Write a short diary entry in Japanese 🗒️ Topic: High Tea with family ✅ Beginner / N5 (with romaji + English) 家族とハイティーに行きました。 Kazoku to hai tī ni ikimashita. I went to a High Tea with my family. お茶はとてもおいしかったです。 Ocha wa totemo oishikatta desu. The tea was delicious. ケーキはおいしかったです。 Kēki wa oishikatta desu. The cake was tasty. サンドイッチはよかったです。 Sandoicchi wa yokatta desu. The sandwiches were nice. けしきはとてもきれいでした。 Keshiki wa totemo kirei deshita. The view was beautiful. とてもいい日でした。 Totemo ii hi deshita. It was a lovely day. ✅ N3 Version 家族といっしょにハイティーに行きました。 お茶もケーキもとてもおいしくて、サンドイッチもおいしかったです。 景色もとてもきれいで、ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができました。 とても楽しくて、素敵な一日でした。 🫵 Your Turn Write 3–5 sentences about something you ate or a place you went. You can use: 〜ました 〜かったです 〜でした Example: レストランに行きました。とてもおいしかったです。 Simple is perfect 😊 If you're unsure of a word or phrase you want to use, feel free to ask! Ganbatte kudasai! Try your best! Monthly Music Recommendation! 🎵🎶
Konnichiwa!! Let's talk Japanese music! 🪭🎸🌸 One of the top songs of 2026 in Japan is Hypnotize by XG. Have you heard it? What do you think? XG is a Japanese group but they're based out of South Korea and I think that shows in the style of their music and definitely the style of their film clip. What Japanese music are you listening to? It can be from any era or genre - we'd love to hear about it!! Arigatou, Joe.

Introduce yourself and share a pic of something Japanese you own or something Japanese that you're interested in! Feel free to explain why you want to learn Japanese or what you like about Japan. Also, feel free to post any Japanese language questions you have. I'd be glad to answer them! As for me, I love learning Judo. Have you ever tried it? And I love Japanese literature, such as Kokoro by Natsume Soseki. Have you read any Japanese novels? I also really enjoyed Cowboy Bebop when it came out! Not the live action Netflix version! To start learning, I highly recommend Your 50 First Sentences Course: https://www.skool.com/japanese/classroom/fe1c2853?md=60ee3552d26e4ffcb910a86675e10f95 Arigatou, Joe Sensei.

Your Favourite Word - #JapaneseTopicTuesday
Konnichiwa, What's your favourite Japanese word or saying? Mine is 儚い - hakanai. Hakanai means evanescent, fleeting, ephemeral. It suggests the passing nature of moments, beauty and life. The delicate cherry blossoms blooming and shortly falling are hakanai. The crimson sky and the setting sun moments before night falls are hakanai. Each day spent with loved ones are hakanai. We must appreciate the beauty of these experiences that will come and go and cherish them all the more for it. The special things in life are hakanai and that's why it is my favourite Japanese word. What is your favourite Japanese word or saying? Arigatou, Joe Sensei.
