This week’s challenge is simple. Summations close Friday 17th July and I’ll do a Live review with feedback. No winners crowned just going through the motions while character building. Record a 30–60 second self-tape performing the monologue below. Don’t overthink it focus on honesty, listening, and being present. Monologue: “You know what’s funny? Everyone thinks they know who I am. They’ve already made up their mind before I even open my mouth. So eventually… I stopped trying to prove them wrong. But today? Today I’m done pretending I’m someone I’m not. If you don’t like the real me, that’s okay. Just booked another UGC job. I seem to be able to make the freelance jobs come in easily, but struggle with agent-booked gigs. Honestly, that's what I find mystifying. I get agent-booked auditions. But I don't book the job. But freelance work I book a little more regularly. More so UGC, I am wanting to get into more commercial and screen and less social media stuff, but we all start somewhere, right? Anyway what are other people's experiences? thoughts? insights?
