📣 What’s Next After the 4-Week Boot Camp
Great day, IVG family! As we approach the end of our 4-Week Boot Camp, here’s what to expect next as we transition into the next phase of the program: ✅ Next Tryouts (Roster Completion) - Once the boot camp concludes, we will hold another tryout to finalize rosters for: 4th–6th Grade 4th–5th Grade - This will allow us to complete each age group with the right balance and fit. 🏀 Team Assignments Begin - Starting the week of the 16th, players will be split into their prospective teams. - Each team will begin training at their assigned practice times for that level. 👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Meeting - We will host a Parent Meeting on Saturday, February 14th. - During this meeting, we’ll share full details on: Team structure Schedules Expectations Next steps moving forward Thank you for your continued commitment and trust in the process. We’re excited about what’s ahead and building this the right way together.

🧠 WEEK 3 – DAY 1 FOCUS: Clarity Creates Confidence
Focus isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing the right things consistently. When I was a player, I had a dream. I wanted to play college basketball — badly. I worked hard. I stayed disciplined. But what I didn’t always have was clear direction. I had effort… but not always focus. And effort without focus can feel like running hard in the wrong lane. Looking back, I don’t regret my journey I played at three colleges and learned invaluable lessons. But I know this to be true: Focus shortens the distance between talent and results. 🔑 WHAT FOCUS REALLY MEANS (FOR ATHLETES) Focus is: - Knowing what matters right now - Ignoring distractions that don’t move the goal - Repeating the same habits, even when progress feels slow Confidence doesn’t come from highlights. It comes from consistency. 👨‍👩‍👧 HOW PARENTS HELP BUILD FOCUS Parents help focus by: - Reducing noise (too many teams, trainers, opinions) - Asking: “What are we working on this season?” - Supporting repetition, not rushing results Focus grows when the path is clear. 🎯 TODAY’S SMALL ACTION Parents: Ask your athlete tonight: “What is ONE thing you’re focused on improving this month?” If they can’t answer clearly — that’s your starting point. 💬 COMMENT BELOW 👇 What is one area your family wants more focus on right now?
