How to Know When to Increase Your Training
Our training philosophy is built around one question: How high can you SOAR?
SOAR represents the four pillars we use in our training: Stress, Optimize, Adapt, Recover.
One of the biggest mistakes we see athletes make is adding more stress, or the wrong kind of stress, before they’ve actually adapted to the training they’re already doing.
When it comes to increasing training volume, athletes often add more simply because they feel good or think they need to, not necessarily because they’ve earned it.
Before adding more, you need to be consistent with your current training, handle the workload well, and give your body enough recovery time to adapt.
Too much, too soon is one of the easiest ways to end up injured.
What are you currently trying to increase: distance, frequency, speed, strength, or all of the above?
