Live training sessions
Now that Skool has the live streaming function I was thinking of starting a weekly live member training on a particular online marketing subject. I thought the first one could be a live demonstration of using ChatGPT to build a product from scratch. Please comment if you would find this type of training useful. I intend to create some trainings like this and launch them as products in their own right anyway but I think it would enhance the membership to include live training here too.
Ditch The Baggage
I just finished listening to the latest Skool News. This is where they basically update us users on what's been shipped, what's in the pipeline and other general news. This one was particularly interesting because it highlighted that lots of online marketers are now ditching their websites, email services etc. in favour of Skool. Even as it is now, Skool does all of these things for you, including live streaming now. One of the biggest issues I've had over the years is keeping everything up to date. It's not unheard of for people to have several social profiles, several websites, email lists etc. that they have to keep up to date all of the time. I know I have, and it eventually just slows down your progress. Keeping everything going just takes up so much of your time - when you could be concentrating all of your efforts on building one community. This really gave me food for thought, so much so, that I'm be ditching most of my assets over the coming weeks and concentrating all of my energy on my Skool community. How much 'baggage' are you carrying around? Does it take you a lot of time to manage? Let us know in the comments below.
Update on voice synthesis
The other day I spoke about using AI voices in our marketing. That was because I'd got a copy of VoiceBeastAI to have a play with. It's actually getting much better than when I first tried this type of software out. I'm promoting Amanda Craven's latest launch at the moment, which is a really good product, as always, and thought I'd use VoiceBeastAI to record a promo voice over for it. I've attached a link to what it created - let me know what your views are. I think it still sounds a bit robotic but it's getting better. I think after a bit more playing with how to type the text it can get a lot better. It's a matter of learning how the software uses the punctuation - like commas etc. At the end of the narrative I asked the listener to click the link below to check out her product. AI Voice Synthesis
I'm sure you will have seen the launch of VoiceBeast AI yesterday. Just about everybody was promoting it. I haven't been one for creating videos in the past but I may start using video in the future. We're told that video produces better results than text but my good friend Tony Shepherd is still making multiple six figures without video and as far as I know he never will. The sales pitch behind VoiceBeast is that now it's possible to make video without using your own voice. Having checked it out, I have to admit that this AI app does produce very human sounding voices that do have the sort of emotion and intonation that humans have - and of course it can produce voice in many languages too. They show examples of the different voices on their sales page here. My question is, what do you think of the idea of using synthesised voices in your online marketing? Is this something that you personally feel would help you in your business? I'm thinking of giving it a trial to see what the output really sounds like. Give us your thoughts below.
Introducing myself
Hi All, Thought it was high time I introduced myself. I'm Trevor Greenfield. I've wanted to create a community like this for many years and finally Skool has made it easy. I'm aware that I'm a rare breed in that at 82 years old I'm more techie than most people half my age. That's because I was already a computer technician when the Internet as we know it now was created by Tim Berners-lee way back in the early to mid nineteen-nineties. I started my online marketing journey in 1996 and although I've made many mistakes along the way, I'm still here helping lots of people build their online income. Having said that, being a computer techie has held me back a lot over the years and certainly something you do not need to become very successful online. Being techie has kept me working in the business way more than working on the business - which is what we should be focusing on. I'm very pleased to see you all here. Share your thoughts, ideas and issues with reach other so we can all help each other succeed. Kind regards, Trevor
