When David played the harp things moved! 1 Samuel 16: 23 - "Whenever the evil spirit from God bothered Saul, David would play his harp. Saul would relax and feel better, and the evil spirit would go away." This couldn’t be clearer, when David played his harp and the evil spirit on Saul would go away. What??? So what does that mean for us? How can we further God’s kingdom by playing? Have we overlooked how powerful our playing can be????? I challenge you this week to get out your instrument and ask the Lord to play through you and start playing. Play anything with the intention that the Lord is moving through your playing. Please post your recordings with the group in share your sound category. We are in a music lab, it doesn't need to be perfect. I have met so many guitarist who just "let it flow" when they're singing an playing. They really seem to connect with the Holy Spirit and just let God speak through them. Of course some more than others. I haven't met that many flutists though like that. Most of the flutists I meet have a hard time playing anything without sheet music. Do you think guitar is a more spiritual instrument?
