When David played the harp things moved! 1 Samuel 16: 23 - "Whenever the evil spirit from God bothered Saul, David would play his harp. Saul would relax and feel better, and the evil spirit would go away." This couldn’t be clearer, when David played his harp and the evil spirit on Saul would go away. What??? So what does that mean for us? How can we further God’s kingdom by playing? Have we overlooked how powerful our playing can be????? I challenge you this week to get out your instrument and ask the Lord to play through you and start playing. Play anything with the intention that the Lord is moving through your playing. I had a great time with my grand sugar dumplings, and yes that is what I often call them, creating music memories together. Gideon was the star of the show! He was hilarious!!! What a blessing to have them visiting! God’s precious gift!!!

This is a prayer I played over a real estate deal that I am working on. I felt like the Lord told me to play a prayer over a meeting my clients were having to discuss a deal that is on the table. I always ask the Lord to play through me and I am intentional about playing a prayer over that person or situation. I love it! It feels powerful and I feel the Lord's presence when I am playing.
