Week 1: Day 5 Content Hooks
POST 1
Content Pillar: South African Humour
Hook Angle: The South African “I’m Just Going to…” Lie
ENGLISH
Hook:
“‘I’m just going to quickly…’ — probably the most dangerous sentence in a South African household. 😂”
Sub Hook:
“Because three hours later you’re still busy with things you never planned to do.”
Cover Hook:
“‘I’m just going to quickly…’ 😂”
Talking Points:
  • Start with the phrase everyone knows.
  • “I’m just going to quickly make coffee.”
  • Then you notice the kitchen needs something.
  • Then you remember something else.
  • Then you check your phone.
  • Then someone asks you a question.
  • Then you realise you haven't actually done the thing you originally got up to do. 😂
  • It can be cleaning.
  • Going to the shops.
  • Making food.
  • Fixing something.
  • Looking for something you literally had in your hand two minutes ago.
  • Or that classic: “I’ll just sit down for five minutes.”
  • And suddenly the day has disappeared.
  • Keep this completely about everyday life.
  • No business lesson needed.
  • Let your personality come through.
  • The humour is in the fact that everyone knows exactly what you mean.
Caption:
South Africans know this one. 😂
“I’m just going to quickly…”
Famous last words.
Because “quickly” apparently means:
45 minutes.
Three side quests.
A cup of coffee.
A conversation you didn't plan on having.
And somehow you've forgotten what you were originally doing. 😂
Please tell me I'm not the only one.
CTA:
“What is YOUR most dangerous ‘I’m just going to quickly…’?”
AFRIKAANS
Hook:
“‘Ek gaan net gou…’
Cover Hook:
“‘Ek gaan net gou…’ 😂”
Talking Points:
  • Begin met die phrase wat almal ken.
  • “Ek gaan net gou koffie maak.”
  • Dit kan skoonmaak wees.
  • Winkel toe gaan.
  • Kos maak.
  • Iets regmaak.
  • Iets soek wat twee minute gelede in jou hand was.
  • Of daardie klassieke: “Ek gaan net gou sit vir vyf minute.”
  • En skielik is die dag verby.
  • Hou hierdie een heeltemal oor gewone lewe.
  • Geen business lesson nodig nie.
  • Laat jou persoonlikheid uitkom.
  • Die humour is juis omdat almal presies weet waarvan jy praat.
Caption:
Suid-Afrikaners ken hierdie een. 😂
“Ek gaan net gou…”
Famous last words.
Want “gou” beteken blykbaar:
45 minute.
Drie side quests.
’n Koppie koffie.
CTA:
“Wat is JOU gevaarlikste ‘Ek gaan net gou…’?”
POST 2
Content Pillar: Interests + Passions
Hook Angle: The Thing I Could Talk About Forever
ENGLISH
Hook:
“I could talk about [INSERT YOUR INTEREST/PASSION] for WAY longer than anyone probably needs me to. 😂”
Sub Hook:
“You know that one thing where someone mentions it and suddenly you have an entire TED Talk ready?”
Cover Hook:
“I could talk about this ALL DAY…”
Talking Points:
  • Choose something you genuinely love.
  • It doesn't have to be related to your business.
  • It could be cooking.
  • Gardening.
  • Books.
  • Animals.
  • Beauty.
  • Cars.
  • Travel.
  • DIY.
  • Fitness.
  • Fashion.
  • Photography.
  • Coffee. Obviously. 😂
  • A specific hobby.
  • Something you've collected for years.
  • Something you could happily spend hours learning about.
  • Talk about WHY you love it.
  • Tell your audience how it started.
  • Share something funny about your interest.
  • Share one thing most people don't know about it.
  • Let people see another side of you.
  • Your audience doesn't only need to know what you sell.
  • They can get to know what makes you light up too.
Caption:
We all have that ONE thing.
The thing someone mentions and suddenly you're like:
“Okay, sit down. Let me explain.” 😂
For me, that thing is [INSERT YOUR INTEREST/PASSION].
I don't even have to think about what to say.
I just have opinions.
Stories.
Things I've learned.
Things I love.
And probably a few things that nobody actually asked me about. 😂
But that's the point.
We are more than what we sell.
So here's a little bit of me outside of all of that:
[INSERT YOUR INTEREST/PASSION]
CTA:
“What is YOUR thing you could talk about for hours?”
AFRIKAANS
Hook:
  • Tuinmaak.
  • Boeke.
  • Diere.
  • Beauty.
  • Karre.
  • Travel.
  • DIY.
  • Fitness.
  • Fashion.
  • Photography.
  • Koffie. Obviously. 😂
  • ’n Spesifieke hobby.
  • Iets wat jy al jare collect.
  • Iets waaroor jy ure kan leer.
  • Vertel HOEKOM jy daarvan hou.
  • Vertel hoe dit begin het.
  • Deel iets snaaks daaroor.
Laat ek jou verduidelik.” 😂
Vir my is daardie ding [VOEG JOU INTERESSANTHEID/PASSIE IN].
Ek hoef nie eers te dink wat om te sê nie.
Ek het opinions.
Stories.
Goed wat ek geleer het.
Goed waarvan ek hou.
So hier is ’n klein bietjie van MY buite dit alles:
[VOEG JOU INTERESSANTHEID/PASSIE IN]
CTA:
POST 3
Content Pillar: Soft Conversion + Connection
Hook Angle: There’s More Than One Way
ENGLISH
Hook:
“Can I tell you something I wish more people knew about the online space?”
Sub Hook:
“You don't have to know exactly what you want to do before you start looking at what's actually out there.”
Cover Hook:
“There’s more out there than you think.”
Talking Points:
  • Keep this conversational.
  • Don't make it a “buy from me” post.
  • Talk about how broad the online space has become.
  • There are physical products sold online.
  • Digital products.
  • Courses and programs.
  • Affiliate recommendations.
  • Online services.
  • Coaching.
  • Freelancing.
  • Creative work.
  • E-commerce.
  • Content-based businesses.
  • Different skills can be used in different ways.
  • Some people start because they want to build something alongside what they already do.
  • Some want to turn an existing skill into an online service.
  • Some discover an interest they didn't realise could become something more.
  • Some simply want to understand what options exist before deciding.
  • You don't have to choose five things.
  • You don't have to jump into everything.
  • Sometimes the first step is simply becoming aware of what is available.
  • Invite conversation rather than pushing an offer.
Caption:
I think sometimes people hear “online business” and immediately think there's ONE specific thing they're supposed to do.
There isn't.
There are so many different ways people are building things online now.
Some sell products.
Some offer services.
Some teach.
Some create digital products.
Some recommend products they genuinely use.
Some build around a skill they already have.
Some start with an interest or passion and see where it takes them.
And honestly?
You don't have to know exactly which one is right for you on day one.
Sometimes you just need to see what's actually out there.
Because you can't choose from options you don't even know exist.
CTA:
“If you've ever wondered what you could actually do in the online space, let's have a conversation about it. No pressure. Just a chat.”
AFRIKAANS
Hook:
Cover Hook:
“Daar is meer daar buite as wat jy dink.”
Talking Points:
  • Hou hierdie een conversational.
  • Moenie dit in ’n “koop by my” post verander nie.
  • Digital products.
  • Courses en programmes.
  • Affiliate recommendations.
  • Online services.
  • Coaching.
  • Freelancing.
  • Creative work.
  • E-commerce.
  • Content-based businesses.
  • Party wil ’n bestaande skill in ’n online diens verander.
Daar is so baie verskillende maniere waarop mense nou dinge online bou.
Party verkoop produkte.
Party bied dienste aan.
Party teach.
Party maak digital products.
Net ’n chat.”
