The problem with educational content
posted a video on IG yesterday where he talked about personal content being better than pure educational content.
He's right.
That's the secret sauce to conversion with content.
The problem with a lot of content pieces online is that they look the same, sound the same, make the same promises, and ask for the same thing.
For us business owners, there are mainly four kinds of content we can share:
  1. Connection (personal content)
  2. Educational content
  3. Proof
  4. Invitations to work with us
Most people are great at the educational stuff. They've got proof, and they do the invitation well, too.
What they miss is the connection. The personal stuff.
But it's what makes the difference between you and a hundred other people selling the same thing to the same audience.
Share the personal stuff.
Post about your origin. Where you came from. How you got here. How you became this person doing this amazing thing now.
Show behind the scenes... Your day... some of the characters in your life... Your point of view...
These differentiate you from everybody else and puts you in a league of your own.
So before you put out another piece of content, remember:
People do not just want to learn or see testimonials or case studies...
They wanna see you. They wanna know you. They wanna connect with you.
They'll buy into you first, before they buy what you're selling.
Shower thought complete.
Have a productive day 🥂
