The Ultimate Balancing Act
On Fridays Inner Wilderness Exploration Call: Finding balance in listening to other people's perspectives and beliefs about us and honoring that person's perspective while also holding steadfast to our own truth about us. This is one of the eternal balances of existence, taking in the feedback of our experience and balancing how to listen and honor that feedback without outsourcing our value to it. If we're to believe that this experience is one eternal mirror of the cosmos then finding that autonomy point is crucial. Drop a comment about a time you've gotten feedback about yourself from someone else/universe and how you navigated it.

Transition Periods
Humanity is in a liminal space. A space of transition. It's happening financially, politically, astrologically and meta-physically. In transition spaces there is a slowing down, almost a stagnancy, however this is all by design. It's really hard to change your oil while you're still driving. Here's a quick quide for how to thrive in periods of transition: 1. Become safe with slowing down. Notice the sub-personalities or defense mechanisms that want and NEED you to be IN MOTION/striving/hunting. 2. What are the primary differentiators between the old and the new, the past and the present. 3. What is the purpose of this transition and how will it help you? Be GROUNDED in Purpose. 1. For many of us, stillness can feel unsafe. Many people have had hard-charging parents, and even more fundamentally as a society we value action, hard work, progress, and EFFORT. While this has it's place, WORKING your way through a transition can lead to missing the lessons. After all for many of us and society as a whole the fuel 'driving' us scarcity, shame and fear of rejection. So deploying MORE of this fuel source to move us out of a stagnancy only exacerbates the problem, reinforces the dissonance and potentiates miscalculations. Learning to be safe in stillness and stagnancy is huge. After all, if you can't be safe in stillness, how will you find safety in motion? One of the precursors to safety is acceptance. Can you accept where you are? Can you accept where you've been? Will you accept where you're Soul's going? These are quintessential steps to safety. 2. If you were to look at whatever cycle you've been in that you're being asked to transition OUT of- what is it? Is it a communication pattern? An emotional pattern? Is it a deeply held identity? The most fundamental changes can bring all of the above. The important thing is to craft a coherent story. A story that is easy to Love and that generates peace, ease and enthusiasm for the present moment. That is what makes a good story. A character who grows in the face of a challenge and find resolution through a beginning, a middle and an end. Craft your story through understanding the beginning, or your past, accepting that you're in the middle, and crafting and believing in an end. Then if you can collapse all three into the present moment- then now you're really talking. This is where practices of deep rest, meditation, journaling and reflection are so key.

Holiday Season Navigational Tips
Alrighty- peak holiday season is here. For many/most that means extended time with family + (potentially) stressful external circumstances = (unnecessary) frustration + agitation + activation + triggers. If you want the TL;DR then scroll to the bottom! If you're contemplating engaging in psychedelics and/or cannabis whether silently solo or WITH your family- here's your guide. 1. If you're using substances (including alcohol) to 'get through' this time. That in itself is a clue that there's probably something to look at within yourself in terms of how you relate to yourself and others. So if that's the case- remove the shame- and get curious instead. Here are some questions to ask yourself: 1. What is the purpose or intention of engaging with this substance? Am I doing it because others are doing it? Am I doing it to make the experience more enjoyable? What is sub-optimal in terms of enjoyment/satisfaction? Is there a way I can find enjoyment/satisfaction in what I'm doing? Am I doing this to escape from a discomfort? What's the discomfort? How can I show up for myself, create safety and ease for myself? 2. If you're engaging with a substance socially and intentionally then here are some questions: 1. Am I safe? What's my intention? Does my intention align with the intentions of others that I'm sharing space with? Are the people around me safe? (Hint: unsafety can be infectious so if others aren't safe it's very likely that with a psychedelic, even a microdose, that you can pick up on it and even harmonize with it) 2. Is engaging with this substance worth the risk of being confronted with something that requires time attention and energy? Am I comfortable with taking space from everyone to sit with whatever arises? Do I have the space and skills to navigate confrontation? 3. When it comes to navigating the activations and confrontations that can easily arise being back with family again here are some frameworks to help you move through it? 1. What if your Soul/Higher Self chose this family precisely so that you could learn invaluable lessons that no other family could teach you?
