Sometimes your Inner Critic needs to speak!
I was reminded of my Livestream with Katherine Werbiansky when I was chatting with and suggested something that sometimes helps me when I'm journaling: giving each personality (like the inner critic, inner cheerleader, CEO, teacher, etc) their own place on the page and letting them have a conversation.
This helps me clear my mind.
Amanda pointed out that maybe she hadn't realized how much those parts want to be heard!!
We all want to be heard, right?
Katherine taught me about Internal Family Systems - "IFS." Every mind is plural and we are like a family inside; ideally, we all get along! But when they don't, giving them a voice helps.
I think the movie "Inside Out" beautifully animates this idea!
Here's the replay. Let me know, do you relate to the conversation?
