So something Austin has been helping me work on since the 500 lbs squat is a bit of a Hypertrophy journey.
It hasn’t ramped up too hardcore yet, due to running training for the Marathon, but once it’s over, it will be full time hypertrophy for a while 🙏🏻 (and a little equipped benching because I need to SBD 500 lbs all in the same year lol 😂)
Anyway, something I’ve found I am horrible at is pec engagement in pretty much any movement, so I’ve been working hard to isolate and build up activation of this group.
Right now, I tend to be super triceps and front delt driven (thank you Westside 🙏🏻)
But I know if I can build up activation in this group, it will make huge strides in improving my overall physique as well as pressing power in general.
Right now, I’m doing elbows flared, wide grip bench, and it is definitely hitting my pecs more, but also working the front delts more than I’d like.
Any training advice for pec activation would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻❤️🔥
