Let me tell you why I built this Community
I've spent 25+ years inside some of the biggest operations in the world — DoorDash, Uber, Chime, Capital One. Thousands of agents. Hundreds of leaders. And one pattern I could not unsee no matter where I went: The most common reason someone doesn't make it to the next level has nothing to do with their work ethic. It's because nobody ever showed them what good leadership actually looks like in practice. This isn't theory or corporate speak. We go for reality here: how to run a 1:1 that actually changes performance. How to have the hard conversation without losing the relationship. How to read your numbers and know what to do about them. How to lead when the pressure is on and everyone is watching. I've seen that gap cost talented people years of career momentum. I've seen it cost organizations clients. I've seen it play out in Lagos, Nairobi, Manila, Bangalore, Bogota and right here at home. Readiness to lead doesn't just happen. Someone has to build it. That's what this community is for. The Impactify Leadership Community exists for one reason: to help you understand where you are as a leader, where you need to grow, and give you the tools, the community, and the accountability to actually get there. Start with our Leadership Readiness Assessment — it'll show you your strengths, your gaps, and exactly what to work on next. You can access this at our companion app set up to host some tests, a document repository and a place to meet, called www.impactifyleaders.com. During your registration you can fill out the Leadership Assessment to not just to read a Leadership Level, but to help direct where you should focus for optimum growth. Then show up here. Learn with us. Grow with us. I don't want to own the world. I just want to change it — one leader at a time. Welcome. I'm glad you're here. — David

📌 THIS WEEK IN THE COMMUNITY Updated every Monday — bookmark this post
👋 Welcome to the week, leaders. Here is how every week runs in the Impactify Leadership Community. Same structure, fresh content. Show up and you will never wonder what to do next. Every week looks like this: 📚 MONDAY — Weekly Reset A single leadership question to set your intention for the week. Short. Personal. Worth two minutes of your time. Example: "What is the one thing you need to get right as a leader this week?" Post your answer in the feed. Read what others write. You will learn as much from your peers as from any lesson. 🎯 TUESDAY — Leadership Scenario A real situation. No easy answer. Four choices. Example: "Your best agent tells you they're looking for another job. What do you do first?" Pick your response in the feed. Debate it with the community. David drops his take at the end of the day. This is the most important post of the week — don't miss it. 🔧 WEDNESDAY — Wednesday Coffee Date with David Every Wednesday, grab your coffee and join David for an open Ask Me Anything session. No agenda. No slides. Just bring your questions, your challenges, and your curiosity. This is your chance to get direct access to 25+ years of operational leadership experience — from someone who has sat in your seat and led at the highest levels. Can't make it live? The recap will be posted in the feed. 📞 THURSDAY — Tool Drop One practical tool you can use before your next shift. A coaching question. A conversation script. A one-page framework. A downloadable template. All tools are saved permanently in the ILC Repository so you can find them anytime. 👉 www.impactifyleaders.com 🏆 FRIDAY — Wins from the Field What did you try this week? What worked? What would you do differently? Post your win — big or small. A conversation that went better than expected. A team member who turned a corner. A moment where you led well under pressure. Every Friday, one member gets a public shoutout from David. You can't win if you don't post. And every day on the ILC Hub: Head to the Daily Hub for your daily leadership activity — a scenario, a knowledge check, a prioritization challenge, or a word of the day. Takes two minutes. Builds your streak. Keeps your leadership sharp between lessons. 👉 www.impactifyleaders.com

Every loose word today…is a tight situation tomorrow
In leadership roles, one of the most underrated risks isn’t bad decisions. It’s careless words. Early in my career, I thought alignment comes from saying more — clarifying, explaining, reassuring. Over time, I’ve seen the opposite. Every time a leader says something casually — “We’ll try this” “Let’s aim for next week” “I’ll take care of it” …it doesn’t stay casual. It becomes a commitment in someone else’s mind. And that’s where #problems begin: - Misaligned expectations - Unnecessary follow-ups - Silent frustration - Eventually → conflict What looks like a communication issue later……often starts as an intention issue earlier. Leadership communication is not about saying what you mean. It’s about understanding what your words will turn into once they leave you. Because in a team environment: # Words don’t stay words # They convert into expectations # And expectations eventually demand time, energy, and accountability So the real discipline isn’t just honesty. It’s precision. Not everything you think should be said. Not everything you say should sound like a commitment. Sometimes the most responsible thing a leader can do is: Pause. Clarify intent internally. Then speak.
