HuFTI combines Human Factors and Trauma Informed principles to create an embeddable approach to improved supervision practices in the social care workplace
šŸ“¢ Dr Victoria May created HuFTI as an outcome of her PhD
Providing a compassionate and non-technical skills approach to worker support, HuFTI supervision will give attendees the following skills and knowledge:
  • An understanding about 'why' supervision has struggled to find standardisation
  • Better understanding of the barriers to effective supervision, and how we can change them.
  • The impact of a poor supervision culture and practice on workers, service users and organisations
  • Learn about the benefits and non-technical skills needed to deliver effective supervision
  • How human factors and trauma informed principles can be applied to the supervision space
  • A chance to share supervisory experiences and get feedback, learning, and support from peers
  • Learn how to facilitate an effective supervision session through a group case study
