Start here: what this community is for
If you build automations and you would rather own your stack than rent it, you are in the right place. House of Loops is free. There is no paid tier holding the good parts. The Classroom has 33 courses covering n8n from your laptop to a production server, Claude Code, AI agents, local models with Ollama, Docker, Postgres, Cloudflare, and around sixteen open-source tools you can self-host next to n8n. Everything in there was built and run before it was written. The compose files, the workflow exports and the version numbers are the ones that actually worked. THREE THINGS TO DO NOW First — open Start Here in the Classroom. It takes about five minutes and includes the self-hosting guide as a PDF and EPUB. Second — reply below and introduce yourself. Copy this and fill it in: Where you are: What you run (tool and version): What you are building right now: What is currently broken: That last line is the useful one. "n8n 2.38 in Docker on a Hetzner box, queue mode will not start" tells us far more than "hi, I'm into automation" — and it usually gets you an answer in the same thread. Third — pick one course and post your first result, working or broken. WHEN SOMETHING BREAKS Post it in Help with your compose file (secrets removed), the exact command you ran, and the output. You get a real answer from me, not a bot. That is the whole deal.

I keep it current instead of promising dates I cannot keep. WHAT IS LIVE NOW: 33 free courses, in six tracks. n8n (4): self-hosting from a laptop container to a production server running queue mode, workflow foundations, AI agents, plus Activepieces and Windmill compared honestly against it. AI and Claude Code (4): Claude Code with MCP servers and subagents, local models with Ollama, Open WebUI and LiteLLM, vector search with Qdrant and Weaviate. Data (6): Postgres, Supabase and NocoDB, Notion, Airtable and Google Workspace, Directus and Baserow, Metabase, MinIO, PocketBase and Appwrite. Infrastructure (7): Docker and self-hosting, Cloudflare, Portainer and Dockge, Grafana with Prometheus and Loki, Authentik and Keycloak, Vaultwarden and Nextcloud, Plausible and Umami. Code and shipping (4): Python and Go for the parts that need real code. Git and GitHub Actions, Gitea and Woodpecker for the parts that need shipping. The old roadmap promised phases with month-by-month durations. Those dates have passed and the direction changed, so here is where things actually stand.
