Introduce yourself and share your best tip for homeschooling through high school! My name is Dawn, and I'm a homeschool mom of four. I have a son in college, a daughter in high school and two girls in middle school. I've been homeschooling since my oldest was in 4th grade, and LOVE IT!! I am part of two homeschool co-ops that I am so, so grateful for. And teaching high school classes is my happy place! My best tip is to make a goal transcript right away. That way you have a plan you're working with (even though it will need to be changed a thousand times 😁).

Earth Science Slides
The Earth science students had a couple of things they needed to copy off of today's slide, and they are doing most of the activity on their own today. Those slides are up in today's class (Lesson 14) so that they can do that when they have time.

Math Grading Idea
As I'm grading math tests for MS Math, Algebra 1 and Geometry today, I just wanted to let you know how I grade in case you want to do the same. I always grade the test and give a grade with partial credit for partially right answers (always -1 for failing to label). And then I let my kids fix any problems for half credit back. Obviously you can do it however you would like, but this seems to give incentive for understanding what they got wrong which is so important!

Algebra 1 No HW Session Today
Just FYI, today we are doing an investigation and a lab, so there is no HW Session today. 🙂
