What does it mean to be Holy?

Holy men and women understand that God has not only redeemed us from slavery to sin, but has actually given us an inheritance in Christ.

He has made us His own sons and daughters. He adopted us and made us into new creatures unlike anything that has ever been seen before in the history of creation.

We are a created spirit that has been given actual union with God Himself. This kind of union is something that previously only the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit knew with one another.

We are not God, nor are we a part of Him exactly, but we have been created in His image and likeness, then reborn in the image of Christ Himself and joined (married) to Him by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God Himself was given to us, to live in us, indwelling and filling our spirits like the Glory of the Lord filled the temple in Israel. “He who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17).

You have been united to God because the very Spirit and power of God lives within you.

You are no mere mortal anymore, you are one of God’s chosen holy ones.

What are you going to do with that?

Are you going to live your life like everyone else, or are you going to learn how to live as a son or daughter of God on the Earth?
