- Open the windows.
If the energy feels off, heavy, foggy, or tense: open a window.
Just open it and let things move.
Sometimes I’ll say something like:“Anything that doesn’t belong here can leave.”
Sometimes I say nothing and both work.
If you only do one thing for your space: let air circulate.
2. Clear one small area: not the whole house.
Clutter isn’t bad energy, it’s unfinished energy.
Your nervous system reads it as “something is pending,” and it creates tension without you realizing it.
So instead of trying to do everything, I always choose one small zone:
- my bedside
- my desk
- my bag
- the kitchen counter
One clear area is enough to shift the whole space.
3. Bring yourself back into your body
This one changes everything.
Before work, before sleep, or when you feel scattered:
- one hand on your chest
- one hand on your belly
- three slow breaths
And I say (out loud or in my head):“I’m here. I’m in my body. This space is safe.”
Sometimes I press my feet into the floor or lightly stamp them: when you land in your body, the space settles too.
