The Things We Stop Seeing 👀✨may be the most import ones!
(Watch the 1 min video attached, ok?)
Have you ever noticed how quickly something extraordinary becomes… background noise?
The first time you see a breathtaking sunset, you stop and stare.
A few weeks later, you barely look up.
The first time someone makes you feel deeply loved, you notice every little thing.
Eventually, their presence can become something you simply expect.
A beautiful home.
A healthy body.
A familiar face.
The sound of rain.
Your favorite song.
A quiet morning.
The brain is remarkably efficient. Once something becomes familiar, it stops demanding our attention. It learns, “Nothing new here. We know this.” And moves on.
Useful for survival. Terrible for appreciating life. 😂
And perhaps this is why familiarity can quietly turn blessings into wallpaper.
We don’t necessarily stop loving something.
We simply stop noticing it.
That’s why sometimes we need to deliberately look again.
Look at your partner as if you’re meeting them for the first time.
Look around your home and notice what you once dreamed of having.
Feel your body instead of only noticing it when something hurts.
Listen to someone you love without preparing your response.
Because life doesn’t necessarily become less magical when we become familiar with it.
We simply become less available to the magic. ✨
Gratitude isn’t about finding more things to appreciate.
It’s about seeing again what we stopped seeing. And feel so happy again!
So pause for a moment and truly notice the people, places, little things and moments in your life that matter to you.
One day, they may no longer be there... and you might give anything for one more look, one more touch, one more ordinary moment with them.
Don’t wait for absence to teach you the value of presence. ❤️✨
