With affirmations, you create a positive statement about something you want to create in your life, and word it as though it has already happened. After all, your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between what is fantasy and what is reality. It’s also important that your feelings are in alignment with what you are saying.
An example could be: I am a successful youtuber with a million followers.
But the problem is, there’s this little doubt that comes up and says “no you don’t” or “yeah right”. After all, you are saying something that your conscious mind can rationalise as ‘not true’.
A Lofty Questions reframe
With lofty questions your statement is turned into a question, such as: Why do I have such a wildly successful and thriving business?
This reframe puts the mind to work finding ways to answer the question.
Where to start
This process is super simple so I suggest starting right now.
- Think of one thing you would love to have in your life.
- Now write it as a question as though you already have it.
Take it further
Write your lofty question on a piece of paper and put it up somewhere where you will see it.
Repeat it to yourself every day, especially first thing in the morning and last thing in the day.
Watch your question become your reality!
