An insult is not merely a word—it is a weapon. It is a war against human dignity. To insult another is to wound their soul while simultaneously closing one’s own heart. Whoever insults creates a world in which there is no place for the other person. They cast them out of their heart, and with the spoken insult, out of their life as well.
The first step toward healing from insults is to forgive the one who hurt you; to do so is to rise above them. Forgiveness means standing on God’s side. To forgive is to step into the Light.
The second step is to pray for that person and to renounce any personal interest you have.
Write insults in the sand, but good deeds in marble.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Jesus said: if someone asks you for your cloak, give them your tunic as well; and if someone compels you to go one mile, go with them two.
