💜 Welcome to day 80/90 Day CEO of Wealth Run. Today is all about authority requires Visibility. Even when it's uncomfortable, right?
I can't stress enough that…if you're not being seen, you're not being heard and you're not being found.
And that's so important. Leaders don't wait to be ready, they lead while they're refining what they're learning. And this is what we do. We learn as we go.
You see, authority isn't built in private.
Never, ever, really, because…if people can't see you, your authority means nothing.
The only way that you become an authority is by being seen in public, and yes, for some people, that is uncomfortable.
Because visibility triggers old stories.
Who am I to speak?
What if I get it wrong?
What if I'm judged?
And I can tell you, I had imposter syndrome big time when I first started doing public speaking,
And that was quite a long quite a long… lot of years ago now.
But I thought, who wants to hear my message?
Why would they want to listen to me?
And I can tell you exactly why.
Because my story is unique.
Your story is unique.
If people are judging you, they're not your people.
What if I get it wrong? Well, actually, nobody knows except you, whether it or wrong or if you make a mistake,
And who you to speak? You are the person that reveals a truth that nobody else shares.
But here's what is even deeper about this. Your silence will not protect you.
It actually stops you from stepping into leadership.
Someone's waiting for the words only you can say.
And every day that you delay, they stay stuck.
That person needs to hear your message.
And authority doesn't wait for permission, it responds to responsibility.
If you feel the nudge to speak, that's leadership knocking and telling you your message is important to somebody who is waiting to hear it? Really step into it, and own it.
And if you make a mistake, and you don't feel comfortable,
Fluffing through that, then say, oops, sorry, I made a mistake.
It's meant to be this. Because honesty goes to integrity, Which goes to connecting with more people,
Which means currency.
